Day 2: At the Hand-Craft Market

This morning, before leaving San Salvador, we stopped for a quick shop at a local handcraft market. A tiny venue, the market boasted hundreds of items from jewelry, crockery, clothing and decorations to machetes, musical instruments, hammocks and more. The colors were phenomenal and it took Mary and I almost 10 minutes to decide on which hammocks to buy. We had half an hour to peruse and select the items we wished to purchase. Everyone did quite well, some bartering their way down to even lower prices! Speaking little to no Spanish did not impede the buying process, and I was again impressed with the friendliness of the merchants we met.
